NFC division finish top predictions Saquon Barkley Philadelphia Eagles

The 2025 NFL Preseason is in full swing, and are we all feeling the anticipation for Week 1? August creates a unique contrast. Unless you’re in places like Las Vegas or Arizona, you might be soaking up the summer’s final moments while also eager for competitive football to commence.

That said, let’s not rush things. There are plenty of exciting and potentially lucrative wagering opportunities available right now.

One of my top picks involves betting on a specific team’s final division ranking. Honestly, I think we could uncover some real value here. While it’s a lengthy season and NFL parity often goes underestimated, particularly by those who believe in surefire outcomes, we need to tread carefully.

How do we assess a team’s division finishing position? First, we should identify which divisions to steer clear of. Take the NFC West: it’s unpredictable. The San Francisco 49ers might bounce back with a healthy Christian McCaffrey and the surprising return of Trent Williams. There’s potential value in teams like that, but we can still find fascinating best bets for division finishes.

Another strategy is to steer clear of betting on 2nd and 3rd place finishes—unless there’s enticing value involved. We do have a strong candidate in the NFC South today.

Next, consider working backwards. By eliminating candidates, we can pin down two likely outcomes in certain divisions. If we find attractive odds, we have a strong wager that could not only provide entertainment throughout the season but also open up opportunities for profit come Christmas.

I say “we” to foster a sense of community. In these times, we need all the togetherness we can muster. Don’t fret; the only effort you’ll need to put in today is a simple scroll.

Top Bets for NFC Division Finish Predictions

Philadelphia Eagles NFC East 1st Place: -135

What better team to kick things off than the ultimate powerhouse, the reigning Super Bowl Champions, Philadelphia Eagles? Their dominance in recent years is hard to ignore.

What about the infamous Super Bowl hangover? While it’s a valid concern, it generally arises when a team loses core players or relies heavily on luck for their success.

Neither of these scenarios apply to the 2025 Eagles. They had an incredible defense last year and, notably, one of the youngest squads in the league. But let’s cut to the chase.

Which teams in the NFC East could potentially challenge them? The Washington team springs to mind; however, can they really replicate their 87% success rate on 4th downs as in 2024? The league has had time to adapt to Kliff Kingsbury and Jayden Daniels.

And then we have the Cowboys. They seem positioned for 2nd place in the NFC East, but I’m not a fan of their coaching staff, and don’t get me started on the front office. Jerry Jones is bound to provide some entertaining tidbits this season. Bless his heart.

Atlanta Falcons NFC South 2nd Place: +200

This bet on the Atlanta Falcons for 2nd place in the NFC South isn’t my favorite, but hear me out. They almost clinched the NFC South title from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year. With a solid offensive line and a dynamic running back, their offense now boasts quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who can actually extend plays.

This could be risky, as Penix Jr. has the potential to disappoint, and the more seasoned Bryce Young of the Carolina Panthers might lead his team to a better season. It’s possible the Falcons could have won the NFC South last year had they fielded a more capable quarterback.

But with odds of (+200), I’m willing to place a bet on how I believe things should unfold.

New Orleans Saints NFC South 4th Place: -135

Staying within the NFC South, we venture down to the bottom of the standings and encounter the New Orleans Saints. I’ve sought high and low for reasons to suggest this team could be anything but dismal in 2025, and other than the promise of rookie Tyler Shough being NFL-ready, there’s not much hope.

With widespread agreement among experts that the Saints could be among the worst teams in the league this year, the enticing price of (-135) is nearly impossible to resist.

Their struggles last season weren’t solely due to Spencer Rattler’s performance; he did reasonably well, but the team severely lacks depth.

I’ve examined numerous positional rankings across NFL teams, and the Saints only rank above 20th in two instances. Overall, they sit at the bottom of all rankings.

We just need the Panthers not to fall too drastically in performance, and we can consider this a guaranteed win.
