Only two teams in the NFL managed to secure spots within the Top 8 for both offense and defense in total yards last season.
One of those teams was the Super Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles.
The other? The Green Bay Packers.
It’s perhaps poetic that the Eagles were the ones to conclude the Packers’ campaign last year, emerging victorious with a 22-10 win in the Wild Card Round.
Boasting the No. 5 offense and No. 5 defense overall, Green Bay was uniquely positioned as the sole team to excel in the Top 5 on both sides of the ball. Interestingly, the last time the Packers had Top 5 units in both categories was in 1998, when they also faced an early exit in the Wild Card Round.
This upcoming season will reveal whether last year was merely a peak or if this skilled Packers roster can advance and contend fiercely in the NFC title chase.

GREEN BAY PACKERS 2025 OFFENSE
Jordan Love’s journey as an NFL starter has been somewhat unconventional yet predictable. In his inaugural season as the leading quarterback, he dazzled fans, showcasing the promise that Green Bay envisioned when they selected him in the first round back in 2020. However, he experienced a typical regression in his second year—a sophomore slump that left many pondering his long-term prospects.
This makes Year 3 critical for Love. I believe he has the potential to quiet the skeptics with an outstanding performance. Love exemplifies the ideal development path for NFL quarterbacks, and I feel he possesses the right mix of skill and experience to elevate the team in the NFC.
The receiving corps faced numerous injuries and inconsistencies last season. The Packers have taken action, utilizing both first- and third-round draft picks to enhance this area. It will be intriguing to witness how the new additions integrate with a group that has experienced its share of chemistry issues, particularly as Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Donta Wicks, and the injured Christian Watson vie for targets.
Green Bay ranked No. 5 in rushing offense. This unit is likely to remain productive, assuming Josh Jacobs stays healthy and Elgton Jenkins transitions smoothly to the center position following the departure of Josh Myers.
GREEN BAY PACKERS 2025 DEFENSE
Defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley made an immediate impact in his first year, transforming a defense that ranked No. 17 in total defense in 2022 into a Top 5 unit this past season. The Packers excelled in third-down defense, landing in the Top 10, and ranked No. 6 in points allowed.
With 10 of 11 starters returning, including free agent Nate Hobbs replacing the departed Jaire Alexander, Green Bay retains 16 of its top 22 defenders from last year’s stellar squad.
This defense could surpass last year’s performance if third-year player Lukas Van Ness or second-year standouts Edge Cooper and Javon Bullard can elevate their game.
In a remarkable statistic, the Packers have boasted a positive turnover differential for seven consecutive years. Much of that was aided by Aaron Rodgers’ ability to limit interceptions, but the Packers have also excelled in generating takeaways and maximizing possessions.

GREEN BAY PACKERS 2025 SEASON PICKS AND PREDICTIONS
Green Bay has exceeded its Las Vegas season win total in five of the last six years, including surpassing the mark by three wins last season alone. The Packers have secured 10 or more victories in four out of the last six seasons, achieving this remarkable feat 11 times in the past 15 years.
However, certain indicators suggest potential challenges ahead. Their turnover margin and injury luck ranked among the best league-wide last season, and if they continue to engage in numerous tightly contested games (5-5 last season), they might face a volatile season.
Nonetheless, their impressive consistency is undeniable. The Packers won 11 games last year despite not hitting their peak performance. With an 18-9 record in their last 27 regular-season outings, I still believe the trajectory for Love is upward.
I view 10 wins as a baseline expectation for a team equipped with a Top 10 offense and defense. Historically, they have frequently achieved this number—with one fewer game—over the last two decades, making it hard to justify betting against them now. I recommend taking the ‘over’.
Robert Ferringo has recorded seven out of ten winning football seasons, including a stellar last year with a remarkable +10,830 in just three months. Between 2010 and 2019, he accumulated nearly +40,000 in profit, averaging close to +4,000 annually over a decade. With 11 of 16 years yielding overall profits and an impressive 23-9 record on his rated football futures, Ferringo is poised for another outstanding football season.
